Introduction
Rama Medical College Hospital & Research Centre (RMCH & RC), Kanpur, successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme titled “Innovate, Inspire, Implement: Writing Project Proposals that Drive Public Health Change” on 20 May 2026 at the college auditorium. The programme was conducted by Respected Principal maam Dr. R Sujatha, RMCH&RC with the objective of enhancing research skills among faculty members, students, by providing practical guidance on developing impactful public health research proposals.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the MBBS students of all batches where more than 300 students registered themselves along with the students of Dr. B.S Kushwaha Medical college actively participated.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial welcome by respected Dean, student welfare, RMCH&RC dignitaries and guests. The organizing team extended a warm welcome to all participants and highlighted the significance of research proposal writing in securing funding, generating evidence-based solutions, and improving public health outcomes. The inaugural address emphasized the growing importance of quality research in medical education and healthcare delivery. Participants were encouraged to engage actively in research activities and contribute innovative ideas to address contemporary public health challenges.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Prof. Saif Anees, Department of Community Medicine, Executive Committee Member and Research Review Committee Member, Government Medical College (GMC), Kannauj.
During his insightful presentation, Prof. Anees discussed various aspects of research proposal development, including:
- Identification of relevant public health problems.
- Formulation of research questions and objectives.
- Selection of appropriate study designs and methodologies.
- Literature review and evidence synthesis.
- Budget preparation and resource allocation.
- Ethical considerations in biomedical research.
