Exploring the Future of Law: An Expert Talk by FJS
An expert talk on the theme “Emerging Trends & Career Opportunities in the Legal Field” was successfully organised by the Faculty of Juridical Sciences on 23rd March 2026 under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall (Dean, FJS). The session was conducted from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Room No 5028 V C buildingand witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members.
The keynote speaker, Prof. (Dr.) Jai Shanker P. Srivastava, delivered an insightful and engaging lecture on the evolving dynamics of the legal profession. He highlighted contemporary and emerging areas such as cyber law, data protection, artificial intelligence, and international arbitration. He also provided valuable guidance on diverse career opportunities in litigation, corporate law, policy research, and academia.
The Head of Department, Ms. Riddhi Tripathi, emphasised the significance of such expert interactions in shaping students’ professional outlook and enhancing their understanding of the legal field.The event was coordinated by Dr. Vir Vikram Bahadur Singh, along with the dedicated efforts of faculty members of the Law Department, whose support ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where students actively engaged with the speaker by raising queries related to career planning and skill development. Overall, the expert talk proved to be highly informative and beneficial, enriching the academic experience of the participants and providing valuable direction for their future careers.
