Specialized Contact Lens Workshop Enhances Optometry Students’ Clinical Knowledge and Practical Skills in Scleral Lens Fitting

Department of Optometry, Faculty of Allied & Healthcare Sciences, Rama University, Mandhana, Kanpur, organized a workshop under the guidance of the Patron Dr. Brijendra Nigam [Principal & Dean] on the topic of “CONTACT LENS SPECIALITY” with the objective of enhancing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of optometry students in the field of contact lens practice.
The event was co-ordinated by Mrs. Meghna Verma and Ms. Himani Pal from Faculty of Allied & Healthcare sciences along with Dr. Ruchika Agarwal (Professor & Head) Ophthalmology Department from Rama Hospital and Head of Allied & Healthcare Sciences under guidance of Mr. Satyendra Singh Sachan and Dr. Nidhi Agarwal. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Gagan Sahani, Director of Silver Line Laboratories along with Mr. Mohd. Tasleem Raza Khan.
This event was successfully completed in presence of Bachelor (I, II, III year) students and Internship students from department Of Optometry. The program comprises of Lamp lightening and interactive talk and Hands on session of Scleral contact lens.
