Think on Your Feet Extempore Challenge at Rama University for Confident Communication and Spontaneous Thinking

Introduction
The Training & Development Department of Rama University, Mandhana, Kanpur organized “Think on Your Feet – Extempore Speech & Presentation Challenge” on 16 September 2026 at the VC Building. The event was designed to provide participants with an opportunity to develop and demonstrate their ability to think spontaneously, express ideas clearly, communicate confidently, and deliver effective presentations without prior preparation.
The activity was based on the theme “No Script. No Rehearsal. Just Your Ideas.”, emphasizing spontaneous thinking and confident communication.
Objectives of the Event
The major objectives of the event were:
- To develop spontaneous thinking and decision-making abilities among participants.
- To improve public speaking and communication skills.
- To enhance participants’ ability to organize and express ideas within a limited time.

Conduct of the Event
The event commenced at 10:00 AM onwards at the VC Building of Rama University. Participants were given an opportunity to demonstrate their communication and presentation abilities through an extempore format.
The central challenge of the activity was the possibility of receiving an unexpected topic, requiring participants to think quickly, organize their thoughts, and present them effectively. This format encouraged participants to move beyond memorized speeches and rely on their understanding, creativity, presence of mind and communication skills.
