Introduction:
The fresher’s party titled “UDBHAV” was organized by the students of B.Sc Nursing 3rd semester, GNM 2nd year, and ANM 2nd year, under the guidance of the Rama College of nursing, Rama University. The primary objective of the event was to welcome the new students of B.sc 1st semester, GNM 1styear, and ANM 1st year batch to encourage interaction and bonding, and showcase the talents and creativity of the students. The celebration also reflected the spirit of teamwork and togetherness that defines the nursing profession. The delightful hosts for the day were Divya yadav, Deeksha srivastav, Jiya puspakar from B.Sc 3rdsem and Saloni, Nainsee from GNM 2nd yr.
The celebration commenced with the lighting of the lamp in front of Goddess Saraswathi, graced by Guest Dr.Jasmi johnson (Principal, Faculty of Nursing, Rama University) Dr.Vaishali Dingara (Dean IQAC, Rama University), Dr. Nalinikant Sahu (Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical sciences, Rama University), Dr.Minu S R (Principal, Faculty of Nursing, Rama University) and HODs of various Nursing departments. Followed by a Ganesh Vandana, a devotional performance, was presented by Diksha Srivastava (B.Sc nursing 3rdsem), Anshu (GNM 2nd year) student. The fresher’s event took place in the Rama auditorium situated in front of Rama Medical College. It commenced with an opening ceremony featuring a welcome speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Jasmi Johnson (Principal, Faculty of Nursing, Rama University). The chief guest, along with faculty members and fresher students, were present at the event.
Highlights of the Event:
Students from different batches showcased a range of cultural programs such as dances, songs that emphasized their creative skills and honoured the fresher’s batch. Faculty members conveyed their experiences and offered sage advice to the fresher students, urging them to approach this new phase in their lives with confidence and resilience. The event had a bunch of fun activities like a "Ramp Walk" where the fresher students showed off their fashion sense, and a "Talent Hunt" where they displayed their unique talents. A variety of snacks and beverages was provided to the participants, enhancing the festive atmosphere of the occasion.
As tokens of love and remembrance, mementos were presented to all the fresher students. Additionally, titles like "Miss Fresher and Mr. Fresher," were awarded through a ramp walk and game competition among the fresher students. The proud winners of these titles were Fareen Bano (Miss Fresher, A.N.M 1styr), Abhinav (Mr. Fresher, G.N.M 1styr), Ananya Pandey (Miss Fresher, G.N.M 1styr), Shivi Dubey (Miss. Fresher, B. Sc 1st semester). Prof. Dr. Minu S R, Vice Principal, Faculty of Nursing Sciences, felicitated the winners.
The Fresher’s Party “UDBHAV” was a memorable and joyful experience that strengthened the bond among students and inspired them to embrace their nursing journey with confidence and positivity. The cultural performances by nursing students left everyone enthralled. Following a sumptuous lunch, the students showcased their talents and enthusiasm in various performances. The program ended with the National anthem.
