Rama University's Faculty of Engineering & Technology recently concluded the 5th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence & Robotics in Life Science. The two-days event featured Chief Guest Shri V.K. Verma, Joint Director at MSME, sharing industrial insights. Special Guest Dr. Kumar Vaibhav Srivastav, Head of Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur, highlighted challenges in electrical engineering. International speakers, Dr. Fredric Andres from Japan, and Dr. Daniel Dasig Jr. from the Philippines, brought a global perspective, setting the stage for dynamic discussions.

Highlights of the 2nd day event
The conference kicked off its second day with power-packed keynote addresses. Dr. Manu Pratap Singh, a luminary from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, unfolded the mysteries of "Pattern Classification Using Quantum Neural Networks." Meanwhile, Dr. Vijay Bhaskar Semwal from MANIT Bhopal delved into the world of "Humanoid Robot Locomotion and Human Gait Analysis," setting the stage for an intellectually charged day. Prof. (Dr.) Vivek Jaglan, Director of Amity School of Engineering & Technology, took the audience on a thrilling journey into the "Generative AI: Future and Challenges."
Technical brilliance unfolded in parallel sessions led by luminaries like Dr. Pankaj Kumar Mishra and Prof (Dr.) Vinay Dwivedi, exploring the frontiers of physics and biotechnology.
The valedictory ceremony
The valedictory ceremony lit up the stage with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and the soulful Saraswati Vandana, paying homage to the late Dr. B.S. Kushwaha. Distinguished guests, including Dean Academics Prof. Dr. Hariom Sharan, Reverend Dean Prof. Dr. C.S. Raghuvansi, and Controller of Examination Mr. R.K. Yadav and HOD biotechnology Dr. Ajay Kumar added their sparkle to the occasion.
A crescendo of excitement reached its peak during the award ceremony, where excellence in paper presentations and the tireless efforts of students and volunteers were celebrated. The air was charged with anticipation as the coveted awards were handed out, recognizing outstanding achievements across various categories.
The crowning glory of the event was the ICAR 2023 Awards Ceremony, where over 250 papers dazzled the audience, and 20 awards, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement, Young Scientist, and Social Impact awards, were bestowed upon deserving recipients.
Outstanding papers presented at the conference were honored, with Dr. Divya Gautam, Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the Exix Institute of Higher Education, receiving the Young Scientist Award for excellent performance in the field of Computer Science. The Best Thesis Award went to Dr. Sonu Kumar, Assistant Professor at Vikrant University, Gwalior, for his work in Electronics and Communication.
Bappa Aditya Das, a Research Scholar in Computer Science and Engineering at Rama University, Kanpur, was recognized with the Society Impact Award. The Best Innovation Award went to Sunil Kumar Yadav, a Research Scholar in Electronic and Communication at Rama University, Kanpur. Dr. Ravi Kumar Singh from Amity University, Noida, received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding contributions to Biotechnology.
In a heartfelt vote of thanks, Prof. Dr. C.S. Raghuvanshi, the dynamic Dean of Faculty Engineering and Technology, expressed gratitude to all participants and dignitaries, wrapping up the conference on a note of inspiration and gratitude.
