Voter Awareness Pledge Ceremony
The Faculty of Juridical Sciences organized a Pledge Ceremony for Voter Awareness on 23 January 2026 on the occasion of National Voters’ Day. The programme was conducted with the objective of promoting democratic values and encouraging responsible participation in the electoral process. National Voters’ Day is celebrated every year to strengthen democracy and to motivate citizens—especially the youth—to participate actively, ethically, and responsibly in elections. The programme was conducted under the able guidance of the Dean, Faculty of Law, Dr. Praveen Mall.
Objectives of the Programme
- To spread awareness about the importance of voting in a democratic system
- To encourage ethical, informed, and responsible electoral participation
- To instill a sense of constitutional duty and civic responsibility among students
- To promote democratic values among youth and faculty members
Programme Proceedings
The programme commenced with an introductory address by Ms. Riddhi Tripathi (HoD) & Ms. Nivedita Rai (Assistant Professor & Programme Coordinator), highlighting the significance of National Voters’ Day and the crucial role of citizens—particularly the youth—in strengthening democracy through active participation in the electoral process. Subsequently, the Voter Awareness Oath was administered. The oath emphasized commitment to upholding democratic traditions, exercising the right to vote responsibly, and refraining from corrupt or unethical electoral practices.
Students and faculty members of the Faculty of Juridical Sciences actively participated in the oath-taking ceremony, reflecting their dedication to democratic principles and constitutional values.
