World Health Day 2026 Celebrated with Awareness Activities and Scientific Health Education at Rama University

World Health Day is celebrated on 10 april 2026 to highlight the importance of health in society. On this occasion, the Faculty of Allied & Healthcare Sciences, Department of Physiotheray, Rama University, Mandhana, Kanpur,along with Pushpa Khanna Memorial Centre organized a series of awareness activities under the global theme "Together for Health. Stand with Science".
Activities Conducted
1. Nukkad Natak on Autism Awareness
Students performed a nukkad natak in the auditorium to spread awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder. The play highlighted early signs of autism, the importance of early diagnosis, and the role of inclusive education and family support , the students conveyed that science based interventions and community acceptance together improve quality of life for children with autism. The performance of students were very impressive and insightful & on seeing such scenario Dr. R. Sujtha ( Principal of Rama Medical College )along with Dr. Brijendra Nigam (Faculty of Allied & Healthcare Sciences ,Principal & Dean ) appreciated them with Medals & Certificates.
After that students explored & enjoyed the e kart ride inside the premises.
2.Health Lecture on Precautions and Postoperative Care
Following the natak, a health education session was conducted. Ms. Ashiya Student of Diploma in OT addressed the audience on general health precautions, focusing on hygiene, nutrition, regular exercise, and timely health checkups as science backed measures to prevent disease.
Ms. Aruna Student of Diploma in OT delivered an awareness talk on postoperative care. She explained key steps for a healthy recovery after surgery, including proper wound care, adherence to prescribed medication, gradual physiotherapy, balanced diet rich in protein, and warning signs that require medical attention. She emphasized that following medical advice and scientific guidelines ensures faster healing and reduces complications.
