World Heart Day 2025: Interdisciplinary CME Promotes Heart Health Awareness at Rama University

An Interdisciplinary -CME ON Heart Day organized an awareness event on the occasion of World Heart Day on 30th September 2025 under the theme laid this year by World Health Organization “Don’t Miss A Beat” under the guidance of Dr. R. Sujatha (Principal of MedicalSciences) & Dr. Brijendra Nigam (Principal of FAHS & Dean of FMS) . The program was conducted between 09:30 am to 2:00pm in auditorium of Rama university. A total of 550 students of Faculty of medical sciences, Faculty of Allied health Sciences & Faculty of Ayurveda, Rama University.
The event aimed at creating awareness among students and encouraging them to take care of their heart health and spread awareness about the increasing incidences of cardio-vascular accidents among young adults. The event featured a range of activities, including a rally, orations, aerobic show, skit, yoga session by Ayurveda students, poster events, and nutritional stalls.

Rally: A energetic rally kicked off the event, promoting heart health awareness among the community.
- Orations: Inspiring speeches highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy heart and preventive care . DR. C.M Verma (Cardiologist)HOD of cardiology Department of Rama hospital was taken a lecture on “how to Prevent Heart Disease “and Dr. Manish Gupta (Cardiologist) was taken a lecture on “Tobacco-alcohol & heart Disease”
- Aerobic Show: A high-energy aerobic performance performed by Students of Faculty of Allied& Health Care Sciences, Rama University
- Skit: A thought-provoking skit effectively conveyed crucial heart health messages to the audience given by Students of Faculty of Medical Sciences, Rama University
- Yoga Session: Ayurveda students led a serene and rejuvenating yoga session, showcasing the connection between physical and mental well-being.
Poster Events: Scientific Creative and informative posters displayed vital information on heart health, sparking interesting discussions represented by PG students of Different department of Faculty of Medical Sciences, Rama University like Cardiology, Department of General Medicine. Department emergency Medicine & Department of Microbiology. NON Scientific poster represent by students of Faculty of Allied& Health Care Sciences and Faculty of Ayurveda Sciences, Rama University
Nutritional Stalls: Nutritional stalls of students showcased valuable insights into healthy eating habits and nutrition.
Free Medical Camp:A free medical camp was organized in collaboration with Rama Hospital and research centre.Patients received free health check-ups and consultations with specialist doctors.
Acknowledgment: The success of the program was made possible by the tireless efforts of the organizing team, volunteers, and participants. Their dedication and enthusiasm were instrumental in making the event a grand success.
The event started by Lamp lightening , Saraswati Vandana . after that Proff. Dr.R.Sujatha ( Principal of Rama Medical college) addressal to the students in which she told students about the incidence and increasing challenges being faced by young adults respective to cardio-vascular system. ), Proff. Dr. Brijendra Nigam ( Principal of FAHS & Dean of FMS) explained the students the importance to maintain heart health and to spread awareness among young and normal individuals to refrain from such disorders. He expressed the importance of 10 commandments necessary to maintain a healthy heart which included strategies such as adopting healthy lifestyle and habits, encouraging stress free and healthy environment, eating appropriate quality foods, etc. that each and every one present found relevant to present day scenarios in life.
The event was graced by an enthusiastic note by our Chief Guest .Dr. C. M Verma, (Dean of Cardiology Department), Dr. Manish Gupta (Cardiologist), Dr. Manisha Nigam (HOD of Emergency Medicine), Dr. Archana (HOD of general medicine) ,Medical superintendent Dr. Sidharth Mani , Rama Hospital and Research Centre and Principal of Ayurveda Rama university. After these informative sessions, all the students and faculties present took a pledge to make their hearts healthy and to lead a healthy lifestyle and spread awareness about it. The event also included student participation such as poster making competition which involved students , a short film presented by students depicting the adverse effects of tobacco and alcohol.
