The Farewell Party “BON VOYAGE – 2025” was organized by the Faculty of Nursing, Rama University, Kanpur. The event was conducted to bid a warm and memorable farewell to the outgoing batch of nursing students. INTRODUCTION
Farewell ceremonies play an important role in academic institutions as they mark the transition of students from campus life to professional careers. The Faculty of Nursing organized the Farewell Party “BON VOYAGE” to honor the final-year students for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment throughout their academic years.
The Programme emphasized values such as gratitude, unity, leadership, and professional responsibility. Faculty members guided and supported students in organizing the event, ensuring smooth execution and meaningful participation.

ACTIVITIES
The programme commenced with a prayer followed by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment. The ceremony was led by Prof. (Dr.) Jasmi Johnson, Principal/Dean, Faculty of Nursing, along with Heads of Departments, faculty members, and student representatives, who graced the occasion. Various cultural activities such as group dances, solo songs, ramp walk, and musical performances were presented by both junior and outgoing students, showcasing their creativity and talent. The outgoing students were honored with gifts and special titles in recognition of their unique qualities, leadership skills, and academic dedication. Faculty members shared motivational messages, valuable life lessons, and professional guidance, inspiring students to uphold nursing ethics, compassion, and excellence in their future careers. Informal interaction sessions, refreshments, and group photographs further strengthened emotional bonds and created lasting memories for everyone present.
STUDENTS’ FEEDBACK / EXPERIENCES
The outgoing students shared their professional journey at the Faculty of Nursing and reflected on their experiences during the four-year B.Sc. Nursing programme at the institution. They expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Faculty of Nursing for organizing a memorable farewell and for the continuous academic guidance, mentorship, and support provided throughout their course. The students shared that the programme helped them grow not only academically but also professionally and personally, making them feel valued, motivated, and emotionally connected to the institution. Many described the farewell event as joyful, inspiring, and unforgettable.
CONCLUSION
The Farewell Party “BON VOYAGE – 2025” was successfully conducted and received warm appreciation from Prof. (Dr.) Jasmi Johnson, Principal/Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Rama University, Kanpur. She acknowledged the impactful efforts of the Faculty of Nursing in fostering student development, unity, and professional growth.
