Rama University is the higher education endeavor of Rama Group. Established in 1996, the University main campus is in Kanpur which is spread in over 150 acres of the campus area.

About IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell)
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the Rama University is composed in the year 2015. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is the cell that is formulated for monitoring the quality parameters in Rama University. The Composition of IQAC members is as per the recommendations given by National Assessment Accreditation Committee.
Objective
The IQAC Cell of the Rama University works towards improving and maintaining the quality of education, identifying and suggesting new ways of using teaching aids, developing suitable infrastructure, and offering suggestions for the new self-finance courses.
Domain
IQAC is an effective and efficient internal coordinating and monitoring mechanism. The IQAC plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of the institution and suggests quality enhancement measures to be adopted. The IQAC meets every week on Monday to plan, direct, implement and evaluate the teaching, research, and publication activities in the University. The sub-committees dealing with various activities and departments implement the IQAC guidelines and report the feedback. The IQAC strives to spread quality culture through quality enhancement initiatives and best practices. Significant improvements in quality have been made by institutionalizing the following IQAC initiatives:

Functions
The main function of IQAC is monitoring and mentoring of academic and administrative activities. Academic inspections are carried out periodically to assess the quality of academics. The functions of IQAC involve:
1. Review of healthy academic practices
2. Mechanisms to identify and reform academic practices
3. Review of departmental facilities
4. Facilitate implementation of innovative methods in the departments
5. Self-development of faculty members
Plan of action
1. Academic Administrative Audit (AAA) and follow up action taken
2. Conferences, Seminars, Workshops on quality conducted
3. Collaborative quality initiatives with other institution(s).
4. Orientation programme on quality issues for teachers and students.
5. Participation in NIRF.
6. Any other quality audit recognized by state, national or international agencies (ISO Certification, NBA etc.).
7. Collecting, analyzing and taking action according to feedback from various stakeholders.
