Industrial Visit to E-TV & SAHARA TV for Mass Comm. & Journalism

A study tour was organized to Sahara TV Bureau & E-TV (UP/Uttarakhand), Lucknow for Students of the Dept. of Journalism and Mass Communication, Rama University UP Kanpur in Co-ordination of Mr. Utkarsh, Jasbeer Kaur (Training & Placement Cell) and Dr.Neeraj Kumar (HOD) on 24th Nov.2016.
It was a one day tour, wherein the students were introduced to the TV studio equipped with chroma keying and virtual setup where live transmission of programmes is done; the working of a teleprompter was also explained. Subsequently, everybody was moved to the Production Control Room and was briefly explained about the working of a Video Monitor Wall, Video Mixer, Audio Mixing console and DVE (Digital Video effects). Afterwards, the students were taken to the nerve center of broadcasting which is known as the MCR (Master Control Room). Server room and many other important sections of a news channel were visited as well.
