About the Event:
The program was started after reaching the venue that was Bithoor Ghat, Kanpur. It is an encouraging place with great aesthetic and cultural value. Conserving a tremendous natural resource for sustainable agricultural development is a prime duty of society. So the students of B.Sc. (Ag.) 2nd year, Rama University, presented impressive posters and slogans to enlighten the various problems faced by society and the agriculture sector due to the contamination of river water Ganga.
Along with displaying charts and posters, students and faculty members actively participated in cleaning the holy bank of the Ganga river. They collected various types of pollutants that might create pollution in the Ganga and harm biodiversity. Students and the faculty members of Rama University further talked to multiple people living nearby places and told them the importance of keeping the Ganga clean.
The main motive of cleaning the Ganga Riverbank was to make people aware that they should keep the natural resources tidy to provide a good resource base for future generations and sustainable agricultural development. Overall it was a successful event.
