Faculty of Agriculture and Allied Industries organized a workshop on Anti-Ragging and Guest lecture session on 18 November 2019.
The workshop on Anti-Ragging was conducted by Ms. Raveena Tyagi, IPS, SP, Kanpur South, and the Guest Lectures were delivered by two eminent Scientists- Dr. Hari Har Ram (Vegetable Breeder) and Dr. Ram Kathin Singh (Biometrician), at Auditorium, RAMA University, Kanpur.
Brief Introduction of Dr. Hari HarRam : Consultant, Dayal Seeds, Meerut, and TATA Trusts and Ex-Professor, G.B. P. U. A & T. Pantnagar, Ex-Consultant, UPCAR, Lucknow.
His contributions consist of 9 varieties of Soybean, 26 varieties of vegetables and registered 2 novel vegetable germplasm to NBPGR. He published several books and research papers in the field ofAgriculture.
Brief Introduction of Dr. Ram Kathin Singh : Ph. D. from Germany, Director, Nand educational foundation for Rural Development, Aliganj, Lucknow. Ex. Professor, Haryana Agricultural University, Ex-Director Research, N.D.U.A. & T. Ayodhya, Representative, International Rice Research Institute, Philippines.
He has published more than 200 research papers in reputed NAAS Rating Journals and has published more than 20 books. He was awarded by Agri Award 2012, Lokmat Samman 2018 to name a few.
