Ayurvedic Health Camp Bridges Modern Assessment and Traditional Wisdom
31 Jan 2025
A unique health camp blending modern diagnostic techniques with traditional Ayurvedic principles was recently conducted, focusing on evaluating cadets' physical health and understanding their Prakruti—their natural constitution according to Ayurveda.
Comprehensive Health Assessment
The camp assessed 98 cadets from the CISF Unit PTPS Panki, measuring:
- Physical Measurements: Height, weight, and BMI
- Vital Signs: Blood pressure and pulse rate
- Body Structure Analysis: General body type and health trends
- Health & Lifestyle Survey: Dietary habits, exercise routines, and daily activities
This holistic approach aimed to give participants a complete picture of their health while fostering a deeper appreciation for Ayurvedic wellness principles.
The Role of Students
Volunteers from Rama University, including Riddhima Vimal, Mukesh Chandra, and Anushka Sachan, played a crucial role. Under the expert guidance of Dr. Hukum Singh Dhakad, they assisted in data collection, interacted with cadets to learn about their health challenges, and gained hands-on experience in health monitoring and wellness assessments.
A Collaborative Effort
The camp was a joint initiative of Rama University, the CISF, and government bodies, adhering to guidelines from the Director of Ayurveda Services, UP, and the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine. This collaboration highlighted the importance of integrating traditional wisdom into modern health practices.
Key Highlights:
