Best Out of Waste Competition held at FET
27 Jan 2020
With the growing increase in wastes in our society from households to industrial wastes, we now require a very innovative approach to manage waste resources. Recycling and reusing valuable waste material can result in the development of usable products. Rather than putting these waste materials into landfills, various innovative and creative ideas can be put together to bring something new and useful.
With this thought in mind, a Best Out of Waste Competition was organized on January 27, 2020, by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Rama University, Mandhana, Kanpur.
Under the Swachh Bharat Initiative, this competition was inaugurated by our revered Dean Dr. Hariom Sharan. All the other faculty members, including Mr. Satish Parihar, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Mrs. Rati Bajpai, Mr. Devendra Kumar Lohia, Mr. Amit were present.
Students showcased models that captured everyone’s attention. They used reusable and recyclable materials like newspapers, ice cream sticks, bottles, shoe boxes and plastic papers to craft out a useful or decorative item.
The sole purpose behind this activity was to develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment and inculcate the habit of adopting 3R’s (recycle, reuse and reduce) before dumping the waste materials.
After evaluating their fantabulous models on the basis of presentation, innovation and quality, the evaluation committee awarded the students with certificates by wishing them a great success for their future aspirations.
The event was conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Rati Bajpai with coordinators including
Dr. Rajendra Kumar Bhadauria, Dr. Vinod Kumar Yadav, Dr. Parul Singh, Dr. Deeksha Ranjan and Ms. Shikha Tiwari.
