Empowering Innovators: Rama University's One-Week Faculty Development Program on IP Rights and Wealth Creation

The one-week faculty development program on Intellectual Property Rights and Wealth Creation organized by Rama University in collaboration with Institutions Innovation Council, Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries has come to an end. The program was aimed at providing participants with valuable insights into the various aspects of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
The program featured a series of lectures and interactive sessions by experts in the field of intellectual property rights including Mr. Ravi Pandey, Research Establishment Officer, IP & TECH Transfer IIT Kanpur, Ms. Sonali Nigam Ma'am, and Assistant Manager at the Technology Transfer Office of IIT Kanpur. Along with (Prof.) Dr. Hari Om Sharan, President, IIC, Dr. C.S. Raghuvanshi, Innovation Ambassador, Institution Innovation Council, and Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Dean, FASAI & Convener FDP. Additionally Deans, HoD's, and faculty members from various faculties of Rama University also participated in the program.
The closing ceremony of the one-week faculty development program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and guests, followed by a warm welcome address from (Prof.) Dr. Hari Om Sharan, President, IIC. The keynote speeches were delivered by Mr. Ravi Pandey, Research Establishment Officer, IP & TECH Transfer IIT Kanpur, and Ms. Sonali Nigam, Assistant Manager at the Technology Transfer Office of IIT Kanpur, where they shared their expert knowledge on the significance of intellectual property rights in innovation and technology transfer.
Throughout the program, these esteemed speakers shared their expertise and insights on intellectual property rights and wealth creation, highlighting the significance of patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. The program was aimed at providing participants with valuable insights into the various aspects of intellectual property rights, including the ways in which it encourages innovation and technology transfer.
Participants actively engaged in the program and gaining knowledge about the crucial role that intellectual property rights play in encouraging innovation and technology transfer. They learned about the ways in which intellectual property rights help firms undertake R&D and recoup associated costs, thereby encouraging innovation and technology diffusion. The program also emphasized the role of intellectual property rights in international technology transfer and how it encourages innovation.
The one-week faculty development program concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. C.S. Raghuvanshi and the keynote speakers were felicitated with the Certificate of Thankfulness. Participants were also provided with certificates of participation.
Overall, the one-week faculty development program was a great success, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of intellectual property rights and its impact on innovation and technology transfer. The program was hailed as an excellent opportunity for faculty members and students to learn about intellectual property rights and its importance in innovation and technology transfer.
