FCM’s National Conference on Entrepreneurship and Innovation Report

The faculty of commerce and management, Rama University organized three days National Conference on “Entrepreneurship & Innovation” from 21st November to 23rd November 2019 at FCM Department Auditorium, Rama University, Kanpur.

The inaugural day of the National Conference 21,22 and 23 Nov 2019

Dr. Suraj Babu Singh Kushwaha(Hon’ble Chancellor-Rama University) sharing the dais with Prof Amitabh Kundu Noted Economists & Ex Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, JNU New Delhi.
The Theme “Entrepreneurship & Innovation” focuses on entrepreneurial attention on the launch and growth of businesses that address problems and social needs. The need for innovative solutions to social problems is obvious. Entrepreneurship offers practical solutions to pressing social problems. The mission of the conference was to promote the adoption of dynamic and vivid entrepreneurship policies and success stories and experiences and exchange the latest trends and research conducted in the universities and research centers as well the practical research and innovation developed by start-ups and new enterprises.

The Hon’ble Chancellor was felicitated and being Conferred ‘MTC Global Award for Excellence in Education-2019.
Day 1
The first day of the conference started with an inaugural ceremony by the lightening of the ceremonial lamp and paying tribute to our founder chairman late Dr. B.S Kushwah. Prof. CA Vinod Sharma welcomed all the guests and introduced the three days national conference and IDEATHON.
Dean, FCM Rama University Dr. (Prof.) Aftab Alam welcomed the chief guest, Honorable speakers’, delegates, Participants, Media People & students present at the conference. Registrar, Rama University, welcomed the keynote speaker Prof. D.K Bakshi, Chief Mentor & C.E.O. Global Talent Company Limited.
Vice-chancellor Dr. Janardhan Amarnath B.J. Rama University declared the conference open. He welcomed Chief Guest Dr. Amitabh Kundu, Ex-Dean & Prof JNU New Delhi by presenting the bouquet. He also talked about the importance of the conference. He said that Entrepreneurship is important due to various reasons like it improves the standard of living in the country. It is also helpful for the development and growth of the society and the country as a whole.
Chief Guest of the conference Prof. Amitabh Kundu, Ex dean & Prof JNU New Delhi, addressed the audience by giving a message on Indian economic system, industrialization& de-industrialization, current economic situation etc. In 1st technical session, Prof. Kundu delivered a lecture through PPTs on “Economic Development: A Macro Overview & Challenges for Entrepreneurship & Innovation”. He told about the situation of India by showing different data & said that India is improving. He also said that “I do believe that there is no Fundamental disequilibrium in Management” you should have the right way for entrepreneurship in the right manner.

Prof D.K. Bakshi addressed the audience and the students by calling them “Youngistan of the world”. He motivated the audience by the song “Jaha Daal Daal Par Sone Ki Chidiya Karti Hai Baresa Wo Bharat Desh Hai Mera”. He said that I am surprised that the small town having much better entrepreneurs than the large populated and metropolitan cities. He said that this is the high time for entrepreneurship & Innovation. He said, “Innovation is ‘thought’ which becomes ‘things’ and later gets manifested into Action”
After the Prof D.K. Bakshi’s session, Prof. Imran Saleem, Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University took to the center stage to talk about four types of revolutions- Human & Animal Development, Agriculture revolutions, Conversion of human revolution, Industrial & Scientific revolutions. He further shares the formula for success “Power of work, Power of effort & Power of consistency to become a successful entrepreneur.
Next speaker Prof. Bholanath Dutta President & Convener of MTC Global, defined entrepreneur & entrepreneurship in the simplest way and said that it is the era of new hopes, inspiration, new idea generation & creation. We should try to find out our needs and fill that need through creation.
The Book entitled “Entrepreneurship & Innovation” was released at the conference.
The First technical session stared with Prof. Kundu.
The total 51 research Papers /Abstracts were received and the delegates presented their Research Papers.
The day concluded with Momento distribution to the esteemed guest by Dean Prof. Aftab Alam, Mr. Prabhat Ranjan, Registrar Rama University, and Dr. Janardhana Amaranath B.J., V.C. Rama University. It was followed by the vote of thanks & the National Anthem.
Day 2
The second day of the conference started with Dr. M. Wasi Beg, former director UITM, Ghaziabad. He addressed the students and participants on “Innovation and entrepreneurship” by giving an example of China. Furthermore, he told that “Product innovation is not only an innovation, idea generation & identification is also an innovation”.
Next speaker Mr. Gautam Rajesh Shelly, CEO of Triny, discussed “How to create ideas & start a start-up. He also told that we should start a business with small & keep doing multiple things.
Mr. Javed Akhtar, AGM, Services Fleetguard Filter Private Ltd. told that commitment is very important in ease of doing business and for a new entrepreneur. If you have a commitment to self, you can start your business/start-up with small capital.
Thereafter, Ideathon participants presented their different business ideas/plans. The participants/teams were as follow:

Day 3
The third day of the conference started with a brief summary of the last 2 days' conference & declaration of the Ideathon result. The chief guest of third-day conference Dr. Nawab Ali Khan, Chairman, Department of Commerce, AMU Aligarh distributed prize and certificate to the winners of Ideathon. The best three business ideas/plans presenters received first prizes of Rs. 10000, second Rs. 8000 & third prize was for Rs. 5000. Mr. Varun Popli & Anish George secured the first position, Mr. Rohan Kumar Singh & Somesh Saxena secured the second position & Mr. Sonu Kumar secured the third position in Ideathon business plan presentation competition.
Towards the end, Dr. Nawab Ali Khan, Chairman, Department of Commerce, AMU Aligarh encouraged the participants by saying “don’t confine yourself in jobs, Go for the job creation process, become your own boss & carry the uniqueness of your personality. You have magic in your mind if you need anything you can create on your own. And don’t feel low due to less finance because less funding will never become hurdles in your startups if you have planned everything.”
The event concluded by the memento presentation by Dean to Dr. Nawab Ali Khan followed by a vote of thanks. The third day of the conference ended in the presence of the Controller of the examination Mr. R.K. Yadav, Deputy Registrar Mr. Sandeep Shukla, CV Prof. Vinod Sharma, HOD, Faculties, Students, and Staff of the department.
