FCM organized Debate on Budget 2020

The Faculty of Commerce and Management organized the Debate competition on
“Budget 2020 – Can it be a way Ahead for Inclusive growth? ” The debate was graced by the presence of Dr/Prof. Aftab
Alam (Dean-FCM), Dr. Prashant V Kadam (Associate Prof. in Economics.), Dr.
H.L Bhaskar (Asst. Prof.), Dr. Geetu Yadav (Asst. Prof.), Dr. Palash
Bairagi (Asst. Prof.), Dr. Ritiwk Sahi Bisariya (Asst. Prof.), Ms. Janhvi
Tonk (Asst. Prof.), Ms. Rashika(Asst. Prof.) and Mr. Vikash Mishra (Asst.
Prof.).
Dr/Prof. Aftab Alam (Dean-FCM) welcomed students and addressed them to give
a head-start of the event. He concluded by wishing a fruitful debate
session on the Budget 2020.
A total of 8 teams participated in the debate competition where they raised
their voice on for and against the motion. It was an engaging, insightful,
and stormy session. The event was judged by Dr. Bhaskar H.L, Ms. Jhanvi
Tonk and Ms. Rasika. The entire session was hosted by Mr. Anish George
(SYBBA).
Finally, the “BUDGET 2020 ANALYST” Trophy was awarded to
Mr. Amol from the Faculty of Agricultural Science for his balanced analysis
of the Budget 2020, with relevant facts and figures. Mr. Nagendra Gupta
(MBA – I) and Mr. Varun Popli (SYBBA) were awarded with the Best Speakers Award. All the other participants were
awarded with the appreciation/participation certificates. The entire debate
was conducted under the able guidance and supervision of Dr. Prashant V
Kadam- Overall In-charge and Coordinator, Student Enrichment Club, FCM
along with Dr. Palash Bairagi- Coordinator of the event.
