FJS (law) successfully organized Virtual Constitution Day

Virtual Constitution Day was celebrated at the Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University on the 26th day of November 2020. Faculty of Juridical Sciences planned an expert talk explaining the significance of celebrating National Constitution Day as well as the importance of the Constitution Preamble. As part of the celebrations, a circular was issued by Mr. Praveen Kumar Mall, HOD, Faculty of Juridical Sciences. Faculty of Juridical Sciences has made and circulated a poster regarding National Constitution Day.
Program Details :
Mr. Mohammad Aqib, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Juridical sciences was a moderator of the event and began the session by delivering the introductory speech in which he covered the objective of celebrating the National Constitution Day.
Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall, HOD and Dean, Faculty of Juridical Sciences welcomed the chief guest of the event, Dr. Sangeeta Laha Mam, and special guest Advocate Shyamji Srivastava and introduced them to the students as well as faculty members.
The chief guest of the day Dr. Sangeeta Laha is an Associate Professor and Dean of Faculty at the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi. The talk was organized on 26th November 2020 between 11.30 AM and 12.00 PM on the virtual platform. Faculties from different departments, volunteers, and students more than 150 in numbers attended the event.

- Need for the constitution
- History of the constitution
- People behind the Constitution of India
- Role of Judiciary in the Constitution
- Procedure for amending the constitution
- Basic rights and responsibilities of an Indian citizen as per our constitution
- Preamble of constitution
- Challenges for Constitution of India
The other special guest of the day was Senior Advocate Shyamji Srivastava, Ex-President, Kanpur Bar Association. He is practicing in the District Court since 1982. He specifically deals in Consumer Cases, Property matters, Corporate Law, Drafting and Execution of Deeds. He spoke about the impact of the constitution on advocacy as well as in everyday life. He also guided the students especially the students who wanted to pursue their careers in the field of litigation.
Before concluding the event, one of the students of B.A.LL.B. 2nd Year had recited a beautiful poem related to the Constitution on this special day.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Ravikant Gupta, Associate Professor, Faculty of Juridical Sciences.
