Ground-breaking MoU Signed Between Goa - Center of Excellence Intellectual Property and FJS, RU

Kanpur, May 30, 2024 – A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today at 12 PM at the VC Building Seminar Hall, marking a collaborative partnership between the Goa - Center of Excellence Intellectual Property (G-CEIP) in association with Goa College of Pharmacy (GCP) and the Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, Kanpur. The event was organized by the Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University.
The MoU aims to promote research, innovation, and legal education in the field of intellectual property. The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Prof. (Dr) Umesh Banakar (USA), Founder of G-CEIP. Acting Dean Dr. Vir Vikram Bahadur Singh of the Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, played a pivotal role in facilitating this partnership.
The program commenced with opening remarks by the Acting Dean, Dr. Vir Vikram Bahadur Singh, followed by the formal signing of the MoU by Registrar Mr. Prabhat Ranjan, Mr. Ashutosh Singh, Dr. Hariom Sharan (Dean Academics), and Dr. V. V. B Singh. The Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr) Umesh Banakar, highlighted the importance of intellectual property rights and the potential impact of this collaboration on academia and industry.
Dr. Sadhana Trivedi, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, served as the convenor of the event, ensuring its smooth execution. The event saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 10 faculty members, underscoring the keen interest in fostering a robust intellectual property regime through academic cooperation.
This MoU marks a milestone in the journey towards enhancing the quality of education and research in intellectual property law, providing students and faculty with unique opportunities to engage with contemporary challenges and advancements in this critical field.
