Kanpur, 18th December 2024 – Rama University hosted a successful Health Check-up & Awareness Program under the Uttar Pradesh Government's flagship Mission Shakti Phase-5, aimed at empowering women and promoting gender equality. This initiative spotlighted women's health through Ayurvedic approaches, focusing on prevention, cure, and lifestyle disorder management.
Mission and Objectives
Mission Shakti Phase-5 underscores the growing importance of women's health issues by integrating Ayurvedic methodologies for prevention and treatment. The program’s objectives were to:
- Raise awareness among women about prevalent health issues.
- Promote healthy lifestyle practices.
- Offer health check-ups and lifestyle consultations.
- Highlight the importance of physical, mental, and social health management for women across age groups.
Event Highlights
The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony led by Prof. (Dr.) Neelam Jain, Nodal Officer for Mission Shakti Phase-5, and the keynote speaker, Dr. Deepak Raja, HOD & Associate Professor, Rama Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital. The ceremonial lamp lighting marked the official beginning.
Key activities included:
- Health Awareness Lecture
- Dr. Deepak Raja delivered an insightful lecture focusing on women's physical, mental, and social health issues, emphasizing Ayurvedic solutions.
- Medical Camp
- A dedicated medical camp facilitated by doctors and nursing staff from Rama Ayurvedic Medical College, offered health check-ups and lifestyle consultations.
- Team Coordination
- The event was coordinated by Dr. Deepak Raja, Dr. Rosy Chauhan, Dr. Ragini Tiwari, and Dr. Sindhuja, with active support from RAMCH faculty.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Soni Verma, Professor at RAMCH.
