About the Event:
'International Women's Day' at Rama University was celebrated under the event coordinator's supervision, Mrs. Rati Bajpai, Assistant Dean Students' Welfare and co-coordinator Ms. Shikha Tiwari, at Rama University, Mandhana, Kanpur on 8th March 2021. The event commenced with the lamp's lighting in our distinguished dignitaries' graceful presence, including Ms. Aparajita Chauhan, Principal Director of Rama Group, Ms. Shivani Parida (Group HR, Head), Dr. Prateek Singh, Director, Dr. Pranav Singh, Director, Public Relations and Human Affairs, Dean Academic Affairs and Engineering Dr. Hari Om Sharan and all the Deans, HODs, Faculty members, staff and adorable students.
Like every year this year, International Women's Day was associated with a theme, 'Choose to challenge,' and the event was followed with the thematic 'Shakti Dance' performance by nursing students that left the audience mesmerized. Followed by the performance, appreciation letters were distributed to our diligent, dedicated, and devoted faculty members and staff members. After receiving appreciation letters from our dignitaries, their faces beamed with happiness and hope to do much better in the future. Sarees were gifted to our helping hands (fourth-class employees). They received this token of affection with sparkling eyes from our Dean Academic Affairs and Engineering, Dr. Hari Om Sharan. Later on, a heart-throbbing skit performance was staged by Mass Communication Students that was based on this year's theme that exhibited the incarnation of a woman very aptly as 'Goddess Durga.' That skit performance left the audience stunned.
The event came to an end with the message that Challenges are mended to be challenged, meaning there in today's world, drastic changes can be brought by an emboldened person where being a man or woman matters least.
Mrs. Shweta Bajpai delivered a vote of thanks. She expressed her hearty thanks to the event coordinator, dignitaries, faculty members, staff, and performers of the event and students volunteers who made strenuous efforts to make this event a success.
