Moot Court Club Organized Two-Day Workshop on Mooting Skills and Advocacy Techniques

Moot court club blended theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, equipping students with essential mooting and advocacy skills.
Program Overview
The Moot Court Club under the Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, organized a Two-Day Workshop on Mooting Skills and Advocacy Techniques on 11th and 12th August 2025 in the Moot Court Hall of the Faculty. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ skills in legal research, memorial drafting, oral advocacy, and courtroom etiquette, preparing them for participation in moot court competitions and real-world legal proceedings.

A total of 100 students participated in the event, including 40 students from BAMS (2nd Year) and 60 students from various Law Programs.
Event Highlights
Day 1: Introduction to Mooting and Basics to Legal Drafting
The first session, conducted by Ms. Riddhi Tripathi, covered:
- Significance and structure of moot courts
- Components of memorials and basics of legal drafting
- Interactive Q&A with participants
The session generated great enthusiasm, with active engagement from students across disciplines.
Day 2: Oral Advocacy and Courtroom Etiquette
The second session, led by Mr. Maneesh Srivastava, focused on:
- Techniques for effective oral arguments
- Courtroom manners, decorum, and professional behavior
- Role-play and mock advocacy exercises
- Constructive feedback to participants
Students actively engaged in simulated court exercises, honing their confidence and advocacy skills.
Workshop Participation & Feedback:
Participants appreciated the hands-on training, particularly the live demonstrations and role-play sessions. The cross-disciplinary participation brought unique perspectives to the discussions. Many students expressed interest in future moot competitions, noting that the workshop improved their research techniques, public speaking, and presentation skills.
