National Pharmacy week 2021 will be acknowledged for its Huge Success

National Pharmacy week 2021 was commemorated by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rama University, Kanpur, from November 15 to 17.
Exciting moreover a wide range of competition followed by eco-friendly activities like Tree Plantation was performed by the students. The winners of the competition were awarded shining trophies and medals. The further details of the event are mentioned below.

About the Event:
November 15, Monday
The very first day of the celebration commenced by lamp lighting ceremony by the honorable guest Respected Dr. Sandeep Shukla Sir, Deputy registrar, Dr. Hari Om Sharan, Dean Academics and Dean-FET, Dr. Anita Yadav Ma’am, Dean Agriculture, and Dr. Kamran Javed Naquvi Sir, Dean FPHS, whose presence cheered the students after which the remembrance of Goddess Saraswati followed up the event by Saraswati Vandana.
Later on, a speech was given by Mr. Kartik Gupta B. Pharm. Final Year highlighted the Importance of this week and acknowledged the invaluable contribution of pharmacists in patient care and other care healthcare areas.
After which Respected Dr. Hari Om Sharan Sir addressed the students with his valuable thoughts. The entire chief guest, Dean sir, faculty members, and all the future pharmacists stood to take up the solemn promise for the coming action in the form of an oath. The oath of a pharmacist further illuminated the celebration.
Dr. Kamran Javed Naquvi Sir ended this gathering with a vote of thanks.
The two competitions that were held on the same day was
1- Poster and Model making Competition
For the celebration of this week poster and model making competition was held, and many students enthusiastically participated in the same. Students were asked to create a poster in the group, and they were allowed to choose any topic from the pharmacy and their academics.
The 1st prize was won by Team Kartik (B.Pharm. 4th year), which included a total of 6 members; they were awarded the poster they made on the “Brainology.”
2nd prize was won by Team Sanya (D. Pharm. 2nd year), a team of 4 members; they described Hepatitis through the poster they made.
3rd prize was bagged by Team Adarsh (B.Pharm. III Year) team of 3 members, i.e., Sidhdhi Pal, Ataulas. They made a working model on “Circulation of blood in the human body.’
2- Rangoli Making Competition
Rangoli making was also held, and students were asked to make rangoli related to the pharmacy theme. The winner of this event was Himanshu Pratap, Himanshu Shukla, Himanshu Mishra from B.Pharm. 3rd year. 1st runners-up were Anshul, Anshul Shakya, and Sidhdhi Dwidedi from B. Pharm. 1st year, and the 2nd runner-up was Sonali, Ayush Gupta, Khalid, Shikha Kushwaha, and Haziq from B.Pharm. 3rd year.
November 16, Tuesday
1- Chess Competition
The second day this week commenced with a mind-blowing chess game between several participants, and after a long tug of war, Shivam Shukla from B. Pharm., 2nd year, bagged the winning trophy of the chess Competition.
2- Quiz competition
On the very same, an exciting quiz competition was also held, which was conducted in a team of 6 members headed by the senior-most class of the faculty and every included student from each of the courses. The quiz took place on various categories like entertainment, sports, science, pharmacy, and a significant picture identification round. The winning team of this event was Team Abhay with Aditi, Ashmit, Sanya, Rakesh, and Ayush. The first runner up was Team Anurag with Pragya, Anshul, Akansha , Aditya and Akash. The second runner-up was Team Mukesh with Kamini, Anuj, Himanshu, Anas, and Shweta. The day ended with these two mind-blowing competitions.
November 17 Wednesday
This day holds excellent Importance as on this very day tree plantation, and Nukkad Natak followed by award ceremony was held.
1- Tree plantation
For tree Plantation, students were asked to bring a sapling of their choice, which was then planted on the premises of Rama University.
This event was commenced by a tree planted by Hon’ble Dr. Prateek Singh, Director Rama University, Dr. Sandeep Shukla Sir, and Dr. Kamran Javed Naquvi Sir, after which all the students took their plants and planted them.
2- Nukkad Natak
Nukkadnatak was performed by the student of pharmaceutical sciences which titled “Want to know your medicine ask your pharmacist.”
And it was headed by Kartik Gupta (B. Pharm. 4th Year), who arranged the students and scripted the Importance of pharmacists through this Nukkad Natak.
3- Prize distribution Ceremony
Last but not least, all the winning students were awarded medals and trophies, which were held on premises of faculty of pharmaceutical sciences and Awards were presented by Respected Dean of Pharmacy Dr. Kamran Javed Naquvi Sir followed by Mr. Shafat Sir (Admin office FPHS) and All Faculty members.
All the winners and participants were encouraged by Dean Sir for their performance, greatly participating in the event, and wishing to become a better pharmacist.
Lastly, Pharmacy week was successfully and smoothly held.
