About the event:
The Voters' Day celebration was initiated by Pratibha Devi Patil (a former President of India) in 2011 on the 61st foundation day of the Indian Election Commission. The Election Commission of India, or ECI, was established on 25 January 1950. Understanding this, the Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University celebrated National Voters' Day on 25 January 2021. As part of the celebrations, a circular was issued by the Dean, Faculty of Juridical Sciences. The Faculty of Juridical Sciences thus made and circulated a poster regarding National Voters' Day.
The plan to celebrate voter's day was to raise awareness of voting's importance, especially among the country's newly eligible voters. Voting is a fundamental process that helps to form a country's government. One can choose their representatives through voting.
We thank all active members for their enthusiastic participation and the Faculty of Juridical Sciences for this celebration that spread awareness amongst the young voters.
