Introduction: On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, Faculty of Paramedical Sciences is organizing an event.
Objective of the Event: To raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use
Theme of the Event: “Unmasking the Appeal: Exposing Industry Tactics on Tobacco and Nicotine Products”.
About Speaker/ Chief Guest: Dr. Sudhir Choudhary from the department of respiratory medicine and specialized in TB treating patients, Dr. C.M Varma from Department of Cardiology and Dr. Yuvraj Singh, Cancer Specialist.
Activities Undertaken within Event: Nukkad Natak by BMLT 1st yr and BMLT 2nd yr students and immersion of Tobacco Products made by BMLT 1st yr , BPT 1st yr and B.OPTO 1st yr students
Collaborations: The event was been conducted in collaboration with Department of Respiratory Medicine and Department of Community Medicine, Rama Medical College
Outcome of the Event: To increase the public awareness and behavioral Impact .
Conclusion: World No Tobacco Day concludes with a strong message emphasizing the global commitment to reducing tobacco use and protecting public health. The event serves as a critical reminder of the danger of tobacco and urgent need of immediate actions.
