Police Station, Bithoor Visit by Faculty of Juridical Sciences Executed Successfully

The Faculty of Juridical Sciences at Rama University had arranged a Police Station, Bithoor visit for the LAW students today on October 29, 2021, which was accomplished successfully. Mr. Shailendra Singh, SHO, enumerated several criminal activities that the students were expected to be aware of and gave them a basic understanding of the role played by the police in maintaining law and order in our daily lives. The further details of the event are mentioned below.

About the Event-
The students were also taught how to file a complaint and the subsequent steps to be followed until the case ended. Other interesting topics covered were filing FIR (First Information Report), the role of the law enforcement officers about cybercrimes, recent arrests in the neighborhood. The entire session was very interactive and included informative discussions on hierarchy in the Police department, jurisdiction, rights, and protection given to women, the juvenile justice system, the relationship between advocates and police officers.
The police station visit, coordinated by Ms. Anjali Dixit, Assistant professor, proved to be very beneficial to the students who had an enriching learning experience on the practical, everyday functioning of the law.
