Rama Medical College Hosts World Health Day 2024: Advocating "My Health, My Right"

In celebration of World Health Day 2024, Rama Medical College in Mandhana, Kanpur, hosted a week-long series of events aimed at promoting global health awareness and advocacy. Spearheaded by the Department of Community Medicine and led by Dr. Anju Gahlot, the events underscored the fundamental right to health for all individuals.
The theme for World Health Day 2024, "My Health, My Right," served as a focal point for discussions and activities, emphasizing the importance of equitable access to healthcare services worldwide. The occasion also marked the 76th anniversary of the World Health Organization, prompting reflection on past achievements and current challenges in public health.
Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Anju Gahlot, along with other dignitaries including Principal Dr. (Col) B.K. Prasad, the event witnessed participation from faculty members, students, and healthcare professionals. The schedule encompassed a diverse range of activities, including educational seminars, health talks, quizzes, outreach programs, and presentations.
The highlights of the event included a national-level IAPSM Quiz, engaging students from various medical colleges, and a series of health talks addressing prevalent health issues. Additionally, an outreach activity conducted in Sadipur Village aimed to disseminate vital health information to the local community, covering topics such as diabetes, hypertension, and vaccination.
The event culminated with poster presentations by interns and seminar presentations by postgraduate students, showcasing innovative approaches to address contemporary health challenges. Throughout the festivities, the message resonated loud and clear: collective action is imperative to ensure the right to health for every individual, irrespective of geographical or socio-economic barriers.
