Rama University hosted a successful expert lecture on autism awareness

Rama University Shines a Blue Light on Autism Awareness Day with Expert Lecture. The Department of Mental Health Nursing Faculty of Nursing organized a thought-provoking expert lecture on World Autism Awareness Day 2023. With the theme "Light It up Blue: Transformation toward a Neuro-Inclusive World for All," the lecture highlighted the significant contributions of autistic individuals in various aspects of society.
The session was graced by the presence of Dr. Shyam Sunder Sharma, a renowned Principal and Professor of the Department of Mental Health Nursing at Govt. College of Nursing, Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj (UP). Moderated by Mrs. Anjani Devi Nelavala, Associate Professor and HOD of Mental Health Nursing, the lecture drew 220 participants, including teaching staff and students from M.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, GNM, and ANM programs.
The event was held at the V.C Building Seminar Hall, Rama University, Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur, and commenced with the lighting of the lamp and a welcome address by the Associate Professor and HOD of Mental Health Nursing. Prof. Jasmi Manu, the Dean of Faculty of Nursing, gave the opening notes, and Dr. Shyam Sunder Sharma delivered an eye-opening lecture on the theme.
The lecture concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Deepak Suwalka, Associate Professor of Mental Health Nursing. The participants were requested to fill and submit feedback forms after the lecture, and a post-test was conducted. The program culminated with the national anthem.
The expert lecture was a massive success, and it served as an excellent opportunity for participants to learn about autism and its vital contributions to society.
