The Faculty of Juridical Sciences Conducts Anti-Ragging Awareness Campaign

Kanpur, August 14, 2024 – Recognizing ragging as a crime and a criminal offense as declared by the Supreme Court of India, the Faculty of Juridical Sciences at Rama University, in collaboration with the Anti-Ragging Cell, organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Campaign on August 14, 2024. The campaign, held under the direction of Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall, Dean of Law, aimed to educate students on the severe consequences of ragging and the importance of maintaining a safe campus environment.
The awareness campaign was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Dr. Prateek Kumar Singh, Director of Rama University, Dr. Pranav Kumar Singh, Director of Rama University, and Shri Prabhat Ranjan, Registrar of Rama University. Other esteemed dignitaries present at the event included Prof. (Dr.) Hari Om Sharan, Dean of Academic & Planning, Prof. (Dr.) Manish Dhingra, Dean of Research & Development, Dr. Vaishali Dhingra, Dean of FCM, Dr. Vir Vikram Bahadur Singh, Dr. Sadhna Trivedi, Dr. Priya Jain, Dr. Indrejeet Kaur, Ms. Kaneez Fatima, Mr. Rahul Singh, Mr. Ashish Tripathi, Shiv Prakash, and Raman.
The event was coordinated by Assistant Professors Ms. Sharwani Pandey and Ms. Riddhi Tripathi, who played a crucial role in enlightening students about the detrimental effects of ragging and its impact on student life. They addressed the audience, outlining various strategies and action plans to eliminate ragging on campus through preventive measures and activities.
During the session, the coordinators emphasized the objectives, necessity, and significance of anti-ragging measures within the university. They also responded to students' queries regarding anti-ragging policies. The campaign concluded with a strong call to action: "Say No to Ragging."
