The inaugural session of ICAN2020 commenced successfully

The 3 days International Conference on Advanced Nanomaterials (ICAN-2020) organized by Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Rama University kick started today on Feb 27, 2020.
The conference aims to provide a common platform to renowned scientists, technologists, young researchers from various disciplines to come together for discussing their achievements and recent direction of research.
The ICAN-2020 is focused on recent advances in nanotechnology which will cover multidisciplinary fields from theory and experiment to applications of advanced nanomaterials in science, engineering, and technology. The scientific program consisted of a plenary session, invited talks, oral and poster presentations with the insightful talk by the eminent guests.
The inaugural session commenced with the addressal of the Dr. N Eswara Prasad, Director, DMSRDE, Kanpur where he began his talk by paying homage to the Honrable Late B.S Kuswah. He acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of Rama University in the field of education and research and he said “nano is one stage on to provide on information capability and enhance the capability of the system very classically.”
Furthermore, Honorable Professor Tara Shankar Pal, Ph.D., D.Sc. FNASc, Distinguished Visiting Professor, Department of Chemical Sciences, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Former Prof. Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, while delivering his talk on the subject, said, “The ICAN2020 suggest the advancements in nanomaterials is certainly possible with the “I CAN” attitude. The young scientist and students can pave a path for success in this field withthr right attitude, commitment, and hardwork”
Thereafter, Prof. Amitava Patra, FRSC, FNASc, FASc, Senior Professor, Dean (Administration)School of Materials Sciences Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science Jadavpur, Kolkata emphasized on the cumulative study of science and technology which he believes is the only way to survive for the upcoming generation.
The day ended with vote of thanks and photo session. The talk was well-received by the audience. The session was conducted in the presence of all the dignitaries of Rama University including Dr. Janardhana Amaranath B.J, Honourable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Prateek Singh – Director, Deputy Registrar- Mr. Sandeep Shukla, PRO- Dr. Pranav Singh, Dean-Faculty of Engineering and Technology-Dr. HariOm Sharan, and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Mr. Sameer Mishra, Mrs. Rati Bajpai along with the Convener Dr. Vivek Srivastava, Dr. Vijay Kumar, and Mr. Raghvendra Singh and Co-Convener Dr. Deeksha Ranjan, Dr. Arvind Shakya, and Dr. Rajendra Kumar along with all the faculties, staff, and student
