World Cancer Day Celebrated with Vigor at Dep. of Oral Medicine and Radiology

The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology marked World Cancer Day on February 5th, 2024, with a fervent celebration aimed at spreading awareness and galvanizing efforts to combat cancer. Under the banner of "Together we challenge those in power," Dr. Rahul Srivastava and Dr. Kriti Garg led the event, emphasizing the importance of collective action in addressing the global cancer burden.
As part of the commemoration, a painting competition was organized on the theme "Together we are stronger than cancer." This initiative not only served to educate students about cancer but also underscored the imperative of bridging the gap in cancer care. Participants showcased their artistic prowess through various mediums, including sketches and watercolour paintings, each offering a unique interpretation of the theme.
The competition culminated with the evaluation of artworks by esteemed judges Dr. Baljeet Singh Hora and Dr. Vishal Mehrotra. Criteria such as creativity, skill, and alignment with the theme were considered in selecting the winners. Through such initiatives, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology continues to play a vital role in raising awareness and fostering a united front against cancer.
